DominionStar Knowledge Center

Two compliance terms every new professional should understand.

A general introduction to Errors & Omissions coverage and Anti-Money Laundering education for new financial professionals.

Errors & Omissions coverage

Errors & Omissions, commonly called E&O, is professional liability coverage. A provider or platform may require active coverage before a professional can conduct certain activities or receive compensation.

Anti-Money Laundering education

AML education helps professionals recognize and respond to suspicious activity and understand legal and provider obligations. Periodic or annual completion may be required.

Compliance is part of professional readiness

Licensing, E&O, AML, contracting, appointments, documentation, suitability, and provider training work together. Completing only one requirement does not automatically authorize every activity.

Important: This article is general educational information. Requirements change and must be verified with the applicable regulator, approved education provider, carrier, and platform at the time you proceed.
